WICOMICO COUNTY SEEKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST TO PURCHASE PROPERTY FOR NEW TRANSFER STATION
County officials looking for land in the Fruitland/Allen area
November 30, 2012 -- The Wicomico County Department of Public Works is currently seeking “Expressions of Interest” from property owners who may wish to sell property to Wicomico County, Maryland for the purpose of establishing a new transfer station for residential solid waste in the Fruitland/Allen area.
The Department of Public Works is looking to purchase property with the following characteristics and features:
1. The property must be located west of Fruitland, west of U.S. Route 13 and south of the Wicomico River to the border of Somerset County
a. Wicomico County would prefer the property to be centrally located within this area
2. The property must be at least 15 acres minimum in size
a. Wicomico County would prefer to purchase an entire parcel or lot
3. The property must be located adjacent to a public road or within 500 feet of a public road with a minimum 30 foot access easement to the property
4. The property must be mostly cleared of trees
5. The property must have minimal to no non-tidal wetland areas
6. The property must have no outstanding environmental issues
7. Electrical service must be available at the property
The deadline for property owners to respond to the “Expressions of Interest” is December 31, 2012. Persons wishing to respond to or who have questions regarding the “Expressions of Interest” should contact Mr. Jim Grindle, Civil Engineer at 410-548-4935.

How about that land you bought to build the next school castle? Savings both ways and money for air conditioning to boot!
ReplyDeleteI agree with 12:15. This way they could double the efficiency by consolidating the teaching with the dumping operation. Imagine the savings of for the taxpayers.
ReplyDeleteRick-poo has already signed a deal to pay $10,000 per acre for land that is not worth half that. This is another scam by the great Pollitt.
