School officials at the University of Maryland Baltimore County have sent out an email alerting students and faculty that a person a part of their campus has been diagnosed with tuberculosis.
Elyse Ashburn, who is the director of communications at UMBC, told WBAL the university could not release any information on the infected person.
“We really can’t say who the individual is due to health regulations and privacy concerns,” she said.“We also can’t say much about the individual except that they are a part of the UMBC community.”
