On Sunday December 17, 2012, 2 days after the CT shooting, a man went to a restaurant in San Antonio to kill his X-girlfriend. After he shot her, most of the people in the restaurant fled next door to a theater. The gunman followed them and entered the theater so he could shoot more people. He started shooting and people in the theater started running and screaming. It’s like the Aurora, CO theater story plus a restaurant!
Now aren’t you wondering why this isn’t a lead story in the national media along with the school shooting?
There was an off duty county deputy at the theater. SHE pulled out her gun and shot the man 4 times before he had a chance to kill anyone. So since this story makes the point that the best thing to stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun, the media is treating it like it never happened.

As the NRA states all the time guns stop dozens of crimes everyday, but since it shows gun ownership in a good light it don't make the news.
ReplyDeletefirst of all if you actually read the facts here the shooting occured outside in the parking lot and one person was shot in the leg. the shooter was shot by an off duty sheriff who was carrying his off duty weapon. nothing even close to what happened in ct. so maybe get the story straight and print actual news.......those kind of things happen sadly every day.
ReplyDeletethe unspoken part of the old adage, "never let a good crisis go to waste" is "never speak a truth that won't further your cause"...
ReplyDelete9:56-Nothing you stated is relevant. The only facts that matter is someone with a firearm who was intent on destruction was stopped in their tracks by someone else with a gun. End of Story-Nothing else matters..... except the lesson this teaches- just about the only fool proof way to stop someone intent on violence is with a firearm. To think otherwise defies logic and common sense.
ReplyDeleteactually everthing i said was relevant...the shooting didnt get much attention because it wasnt in any way shape or form relevant to the shooting in ct! The person who wrote the story didnt even bother to get the facts correct.Let me ask all of you brainless morons a question....What will a few armed but likely not well trained people do against a person armed with an AR-15 with a extended clip, wearing body armor, probably well trianed as they have the free time most of us dont to practice..and and they are mentally lost..you will die....some gun control will happen and the assualt rifle ban will once again come into play. The guns serve no useful purpose in the civilian world case closed
ReplyDelete4:05 get your head out of the sand. This is part of a bigger plan. They have been trying to do away with second amendment for 41 years now and they're behind schedule so they're accelerating the fear and propaganda. FBI stats violent crime down 20% over the last 8 years. Conceal carry locations even better. The second amendment is in place for the people to defend themselves from a tyrannical government that seeks never ending reach and control. It's the check and balance for our republic. Our government smuggled 20,000 guns into Mexico with "fast and furious" where there is a total ban for citizens, but 50,000 murders in less than 8 years!! News flash, criminals will still get the guns. I don't own a gun, but I believe in our constitutional rights. It was put in there for obvious reasons. Our loving government has purchased 1.6 billion rounds in 2012 for every agency you can think of including dept of social security!

You dare call someone a brainless moron and make a statement like that last one?!
You and your kind will be the first killed. You know why? Because like the twits you are, you will not be armed.
We only have to suffer you idiots just a little while longer.
Hopefully before you die, you will see just how important firearms are in the civilian world.
Let do the math. If no one had a weapon, no one would be dead. The media should cover this. Every crazed person with a weapon just adds fuel to the argument of getting the guns off the streets.
ReplyDeletefirst of all i made the statement about assualt rifles....they were created for the military not civilians.I dont have an issue with guns in grneral.Second being a military vet, currenly working in law enforcement i can safely say that most people who may carry a gun who are not trained in using it will be an easy target for some mentally unstable but well trained person carrying an Ar-15 with an extended clip. you dont have to be a good shot with a gun that can put out 3 rounds a second.....hand guns arent nearly as accurate as what you see on tv....so really im not far off the mark if you have the brains to really look at the issues.......
ReplyDeleteJust think how different the CT story would be if the shooter was shot in the parking lot instead of getting into the school.
ReplyDelete>>>Second being a military vet, currenly working in law enforcement i can safely say that most people who may carry a gun who are not trained in using it will be an easy target for some mentally unstable but well trained person carrying an Ar-15 with an extended clip.<<<
ReplyDeleteOK , so you just made a great case for allowing law-abiding citizens access to AR-15's with extended clips. SO THAT THEY CAN MAINTAIN EQUAL FIREPOWER. WTF is so difficult about this concept?
.Second being a military vet, currenly working in law enforcement
ReplyDeleteis that supposed to carry added weight? lol no.
most people who may carry a gun who are not trained in using it will be an easy target for some mentally unstable but well trained person carrying an Ar-15 with an extended clip.
ReplyDeleteIf a mentally unstable person, or anyone else, is well trained, with an extended clip to an ar-15, or any weapon for that matter, ANYONE would be an easy target. Even, and maybe especially, police. They are after all, well marked and easy to spot and follow.
you dont have to be a good shot with a gun that can put out 3 rounds a second....
then you wouldn't have to be well trained then would you? but if you're squeezing your finger 3x in a second, your accuracy is going to suffer.
You sound young and still brain-washed, first by the military then by the police.
Anyone with 6 months active duty is considered a vet and cops nowadays are just thugs with a badge.
So you don't automatically get extra points by associating yourself with either. Indeed, I would suspect that you would lose a few instead.
