Back in June of 2012 we published the article below referencing an alleged phone spoof that involved Mayor Jim Ireton's phone number. Their claim was that someone had spoofed me and two Editors from the Daily Times were fired for their involvement.
Did Mayor Jim Ireton Make The Call, You Decide?Today, Salisbury News has learned that one of the former employees of the Daily Times, (Sarah Lake) made the "short list" of those people being interviewed to replace Jesse, (the Mayors secretary) and actually interviewed for the job.
Sarah did not get the job in the end but I thought each and every one of you might be interested in just who made it to the final 6 people who were actually interviewed for the job.
Just how stupid can one person be.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad she didn't get the job either, but that proof that Jim Ireton uses people and then turns on them. He only let her interview to make her think they were still friends. If I was Sarah Lake I would go on an all out attack on Ireton. She should try to get her job back at the Daily Times and expose the corrupt criminal Ireton truly is.

Jim Ireton did with Sarah Lake what he did with numerous others the were his so called friends and supporters. He turned his back on them. There were several friends and supporters who Jim were supposed to bring on board with him as a team and he seemed to forget that. There were several department heads that were going to be replaced with his people. There was the City Solicitor who was going to be replaced with his people. Finally the City Council did the right thing and brought in a much better City Solicitor. The only department head position he fought for was his buddy from the Democrat Central Committee. He then screwed over Ivan Barkley on that top position and then we got stuck with an outsider. Then the fire department we got stuck with another outsider who wasn't qualified to be a fireman and he was ran out. Now we are stuck with someone who wasn't wanted then and who isn't wanted now. We had a qualified public works director in house and Ireton brought in another unqualified outsider to run public works. Ireton promised to get rid of John Pick and Lore Chambers and we are still stuck with them who are the part of the reason the city is running down under their watch. What does Ireton do? He rewards Lore Chambers with time off and pays for here to get a PhD at UMES and now she demands to be referred to as Dr. Chambers. He has also proposed and given her several undeserved pay raises.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason Jim Ireton got elected is because he rode in on the coattails of Debbie Campbell. Councilwoman Campbell got more votes in District 2 than Jim Ireton got in the entire city.

Wasn't Rick Hoppes and Bill Gordy campaigning against Ireton for Gary Comegys? I remember reading they were part of that blog that posted anti-gay comments about Mr. Ireton. Weren't they the ones that exposed Mr. Ireton's run in with the law on that beach in Delaware? Bill Gordy is very connected in Delaware so it makes sense to me.

ReplyDeleteIreton used to be president of the Wicomico County Democrats Club. He used to service on the Democratic Central Committee at one time.
The picture was right before he got elected and was still the head of the club. It's also how Jim treats anyone who disagrees with him.

Yes that is a fact. Now Mr. Ireton is in bed with him and rewarding him with a department head position. Just like Lore Chambers, I mean Dr. Chambers, was campaigning for Comegys and now she is rewarded with an all expense paid PhD and several massive pay raises. Where is the logic? Those individuals should have been kicked to the curb after Ireton was sworn in.
