Hobby Lobby, the Christian-owned company that provides hobby, arts and crafts supplies to tens of millions of customers across America, will defy the Obamacare mandate that health insurance for its employees cover “abortion-inducing drugs.”
The confirmation is from a statement released by an attorney, Kyle Duncan, who said in a website statement that, “The company will continue to provide health insurance to all qualified employees. To remain true to their faith, it is not their intention, as a company, to pay for abortion-inducing drugs.”
The conflict is the latest firefight in the battle against Obama’s mandate that employers pay for abortifacients no matter their religious beliefs. The administration has argued in many of the dozens of lawsuit that have erupted over the conflict that religious people who own corporations must give up their rights to religious freedom.

I hope many companies defy this mandate. It may be the only way to defeat it.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless Hobby Lobby.
Like Chick Fil A is my new place to eat regularly, Hobby Lobby will be my new place to shop.
ReplyDeleteWritten in the Obamacare bill is that Muslims are exempt because of their religion. So if Muslims are exempt why not Hobby Lobby?
ReplyDeletefor starters the religious people who own a business dont have to give up their right to religious freedom. The business they own doesnt have a religion...it has employees who come to work every day to support their lives. The problem starts when the owners of said companies try to force their religion into their business. The owner of chik fila quickly found out it didnt work and changed his tune andthe same will be said for the owner of hobby lobby. I am personally against obame care but my religious have nothing to do with it....I dont force my religion onto people ...religion is a choice not a right
ReplyDeleteYour going to see strong protest against companies that go against ObamaCare. Open your eyes.. The people voted...by a landslide.. For Obama and ObamaCare... Say what you want but facts are facts
ReplyDeleteI suppose "by a landslide", you MEAN a few hundred thousand votes? Typical obama supporter. Thinks 5 + 11 can come out to 16 trillion. REAGAN won by a "landslide". Look up THOSE numbers and come up with a different, more accurate adjective. Facts are facts, huh?? Made up "facts" don't actually count....
ReplyDelete12:31 Obama's core voter base is the "havenots" who have visions of freebies in their heads-Fact.
ReplyDeleteWhat it amounts to is Obama's core voting base is not the "creme de la creme" of society. As far as obamacare 99% those who claim to be in favor are ignorant to the facts. If you ask them why they like it they say because now everyone will be entitled to healthcare which is totally and unequivocally incorrect. It is healthcare COVERAGE and anyone making above $9500/yr will have to purchase it or if you don't it will be taking out of any tax refunds expected.
When the reality of it hits see how many people like it then.
Personally I could care less. I've been buying my own insurance for 30 yrs now and don't get any refund but alot of people are going to get zero refunds from now on.
What it boild down to is Obama has his head stuck so far up the butts of the insurance companies and fooled all the fools into thinking he was doing it for them when all the while it was to line the pockets of the insurance executives.
This healthcare is going to hurt the lowest income people the most.
When Hobby Lobby pays their monthly premium to their health insurance company that check does not go into a special Hobby Lobby account just for their bills.
ReplyDeletePremiums are deposited into a general fund account, and pays all the claims for all their customers. Hobby Lobby has always been paying for birth control, their employees, and total strangers, whether they want to admit it or not.
I suppose they would be ok with covering drugs to treat ED though.
the owner of hobby lobby is not gooing to win here and just like the owner of chick fila he will will change his tune.....hes not big enough to fight the government and win.....
