What would be the seventh rung of the following pyramid?
1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
13112221
Here is the correct answer
Answer: 1113213211. After the first line, each line describes the previous line as follows:
one 1
2 Ones
One 2, One 1
(and so on...)
1 is read off as "one 1" or 11.
11 is read off as "two 1s" or 21.
21 is read off as "one 2, then one 1" or 1211.
1211 is read off as "one 1, then one 2, then two 1s" or 111221.
111221 is read off as "three 1s, then two 2s, then one 1" or 312211.

ReplyDeleteone. Pretty simple. start at the bottom, step up the steps, count to 7, and you arrive at the 1. How hard is that?

I'm sticking at one, sorry. I've been climbing steps for 58 years. I know how to do it by now. I'm 7:30.
ReplyDeleteY'all have a good evening proving me wrong, but I'm going to bed and won't have to read it! Good night, I'm right.
I have no clue. No way I was going to get it unless there was a 6 or 9 in it. 1,2s, and 3s can only get you to a max of 6. Sounds like something the Federal Reserve will tell people how they will solve the debt.

That was a good brain teaser. It makes sense reading the explanation but there's no way I would have gotten it unless I thought to read the numbers out loud...and even then probably wouldn't have figured it out!
