$50K Race Car Stolen In Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake Police are searching for the person responsible for stealing a $50,000 race car.

Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department said the 1989 red Ford Mustang was stolen sometime between 11 p.m. Dec. 1 and 6 p.m. Dec. 18. The Mustang was stolen along with the trailer it was on.

  1. Having raced for many years , I don't see $50,000 in this car unless the valve covers are gold.
    Motor maybe $10,000 at the most , body and drive train another $10,000 at the most.
    Mmmm insurance issue if you get my driff.

  7. I personally know the guy who owns this car.He has his own business and spends all of his off time at the dragstrips around that area,mostly Creeds and Norfolk.$50,000 is actually a low estimate of what he has in the Mustang,but way more than he could actually get for it.
