Will People Ever Recover From BP?

After receiving all the Breaking News messages about BP paying the largest penalty in US history, just where will that money go?

Unfortunately you have to wonder, who will have their hands out? Who will actually get paid? Who decides who gets what? And ultimately, who will police all that money?

With government red tape the way it is, well, you know what's going to happen. We're probably hearing the end to all those billions of dollars and those who deserve it won't see a penny of it. Now will the MSM report it.

What's your thoughts?

  1. The Gulf has already recovered. The people who were involved developed a dependancy much too quickly following the spill.Living an impoverished life will cause one to jump all over the chance to get a settlement. To the dismay of everyone who had their hands out, marine life returned to normal well ahead of schedule. Now waiting has become profitable. They need to get back to work.

  4. 1213-Marine life has not returned to normal. Where do you get this, from the Administrations bs?

Check out harvests pre and post spill. Oil balls are still coming up onto beaches from Texas to Louisiana. There are massive deadzones, as documented by USF as well as the Cousteau Society. It will take decades to fully recover, much like it took decades after the Mexico spill. Harvests of shrimp have fallen by 50%, and what is currently being harvested has oil poisoning(Cousteau and USF back this up with data, not BS).

  5. Read posts below.Too much is in litigation here.Way too much money is at stake to expect an acknowledgement that the gulf is once again healthy. You need to physically go there to understand.Millions of tourists, chrystal clear water, tons of unaffected seafood in their restaurants(all local).Just for once, please don't take the negative press seriously.Go there and see.
