Snow Hill, their marching band is superb!!!
ReplyDeleteProbably Berlin, it goes downtown at night. Certainly not Salisbury, even if you are going to do a daytime parade, do it downtown like the traditional parades were done.They have tried numerous locations and downtown is the spot, Start a St Francis or at the old Montgomery Wards building and disband at the municipal lot at 13. Where it is now is awful, boring and the bands sound horrible compared to being between buildings.

ReplyDeleteSalisbury can never have their parade downtown again because the people would be mugged! Until the surrounding areas of downtown are cleaned up and made safe, there will never again be the downtown many of us remember growing up.

ReplyDeleteThe Salisbury parade is the worst parade I have ever seen. Who wants to watch 50 fire trucks and emergency vehicles and car & motorcycle clubs. I can sit down on route 50 or 13 and watch all the vehicles I need any day of the week. Absolutley the worst parade I have ever seen anywhere.

ReplyDeleteMy home town parade, Berlin. It is where many of our friends and neighbors go to meet and have a joyous time. It is where our kids often participate on a float, marching with the scouts, or in the band.
ReplyDeleteGo to your hometown parade. It is the best!
