Post-Sandy Home Damage May Be Covered by Insurance

Officials with the Maryland Insurance Administration said no special hurricane deductibles apply when it comes to Superstorm Sandy.
 
The reason? The National Weather Service did not issue a hurricane warning, which means homeowners only have to pay their standard deductible to fix any damage.
The cleanup is under way from Sandy. Damage is limited to isolated pockets around Baltimore, such as the Westside neighborhood dealing with a massive downed tree, damaging several neighbors' property.
