According to a recent Wall Street Journal article, the trend toward litigating every minor accident that happens in our lives, as well as constantly adhering to the "safety first" motto, could be creating weak, overweight, neurotic children.

ReplyDeleteIt's ridiculous how over the top Playground 'safety' has become, my daughter has been scolded for doing handstands and cartwheels at recess, last week she was told that she would lose recess if she was caught doing them again.
ReplyDeleteKids aren't allowed to run in gym, in place of gym equipt it's now fooze ball tables and air hockey... absolutely ridiculous.
There's big money in safe play grounds. Your money.
Are we surprised at the guardians of all don't allow normal activites. Face it we have all become soft and it has bleed into the children.
