Ocean City area residents continued efforts this week to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Truckloads and carloads of supplies and clothes were taken to Crisfield, the most heavily damaged municipality in the state.
Volunteers with “Sandy Clean Up Help” sought donations and people responded by donating clothes and other items that nearly overwhelmed drop-off sites. At South Moon Under in Ocean City, bags of donations, primarily clothing, lined the perimeter of the store. At The Globe in Berlin, donations filled the upstairs area. Donations at both sites were picked up Tuesday.
Thanks Joe for linking to this OC newspaper that isn't bias. The "other" paper may be as biased as the DT's. It looks as though they not so long ago have taken a step to pick up some of the Salisbury market. I would urge anyone thinking of advertising in this paper from Salisbury to look into this before deciding to spend money advertising with that paper.
ReplyDeleteJoe, I hope people will donate furniture to Crisfield via drop off at Pohanka.
ReplyDeleteUsed but not damaged is fine.
If you are having a yard sale this weekend, maybe there is one piece you could donate.
If you have nothing to donate, maybe you could buy a small table or chair at a yard sale and donate it.
Thank you to the lady who told me this might be a good way to donate.
