Incident: Most Wanted Apprehension
Date of Incident:  26 September 2012

Suspect: 1. Wayne Dean Davis, 17, Hebron, MD         2. Male Juvenile 16, Hebron, MD
Most Wanted Subject: Calvin Kinzer Reid Jr., 24, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 26 September 2012 at 6:41 PM, a deputy responded to the town of Hebron after receiving information that Calvin Reid could be found there walking on Main Street. The information received by the Sheriff’s Office was believed to the result of Reid recently being featured on TV47’s Fugitive Friday.

The deputy located an individual he believed was Reid; however Reid fled on foot forcing the deputy to
also chase him on foot through the town. The deputy lost Reid in the area on the 100 block of Bradley
Street. Once the deputy realized he lost Reid, he approached two juveniles on the porch of a residence in
the 100 block of Bradley Street who both stated that they had not seen anyone running in the area. The
deputy checked up and down the Bradley Street but could not locate Reid anywhere. Upon returning to
the residence where the two juveniles were at, one of them relented and said an individual had in fact run
into his residence. The deputy went around to the rear of the residence and observed Reid in the back yard who then tried to run again but collapsed due to an ankle injury that was believed suffered when Reid jumped from the second story of the residence in an attempt to elude the deputy.

Reid attempted to further elude the deputy by crawling away, but the deputy easily took him into custody.

Reid was wanted on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant that had been issued back in April 2011 after Reid
failed to appear in a CDS Possession with the Intent to Distribute case. The bond on this warrant was
already set at $200,000.00

The deputy also detected that the two juveniles had been recently smoking marijuana, evident by the odor
of that drug emanating from their person. A search inside the residence revealed several items of
marijuana paraphernalia. Both juveniles were charged with Hindering and Obstructing along with
Possession of Marijuana on juvenile referrals. Both juveniles were placed on home detention by the
Department of Juvenile Services
