A high school teacher at Charles Carroll High School in Port Richmond, Philadelphia, is under investigation after allegedly ordering a student to remove a pro-Mitt Romney t-shirt. In addition to purportedly telling the female pupil to take off the clothing, the teacher also supposedly compared the shirt to a Ku Klux Klan outfit.
The student at the center of the story, 16-year-old Samantha Pawlucy, claims that she chose to wear the pink t-shirt for a dress-down day, during which students were invited to select their own clothing. The teacher’s comments, Pawlucy contends, were humiliating, as the geometry instructor reportedly encouraged other students — and teachers — to join in on mocking her.
This is the kind of stuff that makes me sooooooooo angry - tell the students to dress down and wear what they want then ridicule them for doing so. See what thinking for yourself gets you and trying to be free in a free country gets you - free my behind -
ReplyDeleteall anyone wants to do any more is dictate this and dictate that, then harrass you if you do otherwise. Good for this girl for wearing the shirt of her choice and double-triple shame on the ignorant teacher for what she did. Teacher should be fired, period.
I would like to post a job opening for a Geometry Teacher at Charles Carroll High School in Port Richmond, Philadelphia. Please do not apply if you are an idiot. We tried that and it didn't work out well.
ReplyDeleteshould have just ignored the teacher and contacted the principal. Once again academia is molding thoughts in the young people.
ReplyDeleteBut its just fine and dandy to wear a Che' teeshirt.
ReplyDeleteFree Speech
ReplyDeleteScalia says students don't have the right of free speech.
ReplyDeletePolitics have no place in the schools. They're there to learn, not to advertise.
ReplyDeleteI don't care which side they're on, it's not right.
the teacher needs an a$$ kicking!
ReplyDeleteAt a time when this girl could have taken take the bull by the horns, maintained her stance and eventually owned the teacher lock stock and barrel she has unwisely and prematurely chosen the media route.Kids can't see the big picture, the grand scheme, and the whole enchalada,so we'll let her slide. Were it I,or rather if I were her,I would have verbally dug into that teachers ass so bad and belittled and demeaned him/her so intensely that they would have physically removed my shirt in a fit of rage. Now do you see where I'm coming from? I would have a clear title to their ass based on subsequent assault charges.
ReplyDeleteSo does 2:45. Everyone has a right to express their thoughts! God gave that to us, not you!
ReplyDeleteThe Klan was Freemasonic (Albert Pike was a 33rd degree Freemason). Hence the KKK (11 +11 + 11).
ReplyDeleteThe Mittance is NOT a Freemason. He is a Mormon.
