MISS: Chicago PMI Still Signals Contraction, And Job Growth Slows

The October Chicago PMI report just came out and it was a miss.
The headline number ticked up to 49.9 from 49.7 a month ago.
However, economists were expecting a rise to 51.4, which would indicate a shift from contraction in manufacturing activity to expansion.
