We have had some rather serious damage to Joy! 102.5......we lost the roof to tower/transmitter building. Until it dries out and we cam test the equipment, we don't know how extensive the damage is. Best case scenario, we lost the roof; worse case scenario, we lost our transmitter. We will be off the air until the equipment is tested and, probably, until it is replaced. It could be days - it could be weeks. We'd sure appreciate it if you could post something on your site.....people can still listen to our streamed signal at wolc.org and we will post updates there, on our website and on Facebook (and we will send you updates, too.) I appreciate any help you are able to provide!!!!!!
Thank you!

Flush the equipment with isopropyl alcohol before you fire it up. This will flush out the water with an "easy to evaporate" fluid.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for K-Love
ReplyDeleteThey may want to try 9:42's suggestion. I know a quick 2 minute soak in isopropyl alcohol will save a cell phone that been dropped in water. This remedy is all over google w/directions for saving waterlogged cell phones.
ReplyDeleteThings are progressively drying out...we might be able to test equipment later today, or, possibly, more thoroughly by tomorrow. Until we are able to test, we don't know the extent of damage. We will post info as soon as we have more! Thank you for tips - and prayers! We've had some awesome offers of assistance from The Bridge, Clear Channel and WMDT - our sincere appreciation!!!
