UPDATED STORY 09.18.12: California based national animal rights organization “Mercy for Animals” is speaking out about a Delmar man accused of killing almost 70,000 chickens last month.
21-year-old Joshua Shelton allegedly was drunk when he stumbled onto Mark Shockley’s farm and turned off the power to his chicken houses in August; the move deprived the flock of food, water and cooling fans. Shelton faces burglary, malicious destruction of property, trespassing and animal cruelty charges.
Just get the trial over with for pete sake. This gets more and more absurd by the minute.
ReplyDeleteHe needs to work that chicken farm 100 % in legirons for 3 or 4 flocks before he gets out of legirons. Pay that man back 100% for the loss plus 50%. Only then can he go on to another job. Might take a few years...
ReplyDeleteThen make him eat chicken every day he's there!

Omg, some of you people are just ridiculous. Their chickens for cripes sake. Food.
ReplyDeleteIt's not like he did it on purpose. He got drunk off his butt and messed around somewhere he shouldn't have. Who hasn't made a mistake?
Granted this is an expensive one but still a mistake. An accident. The earth will not end. Calm down.
