The Aqua Bar/Restaurant Gets Go Ahead With Liquor License

In a unanimous decision by the Liquor Board, Salisbury Residents will soon enjoy a new Italian Restaurant on the Downtown Plaza as well as a Bar environment.

You can expect a soft opening in about two weeks and a Grand Opening in less than a month. The group will also be catering and serving alcohol in the upstairs banquet room for special event like weddings and other bookings.

  1. Looking forward to a new downtown restaurant. Always want to stay positive when a new business opens. I rode by Fox and Olive earlier this week and they were closed so hoping they are only on vacation.

  2. I heard the Fox and Olive is done, closed! It took longer for them to get open than they were in business. A sign of the times?

  3. The latest on The Fox and Olive. It has been sold and will re-open in 2 - 3 months. We wish them well.

  4. We might soon enjoy Phil's food, but if he is priced based on the law firms around here, he can kiss it good bye...

You can't cater to the price crowd of a law office type when people that come to the downtown area don't make that kind of money...

I mean his lunches are $8 a piece which has risen since 4 times since he has opened... (I already knew he would have to) I am not kncoking his quality or amount you get for that price but for most people, that is 2 hours worth of hard work after taxes before they can even buy said lunch...

But I will knock the fact that it cost $8 a sub and it is mostly bread and lettuce, if bread and lettuce is that damn expensive even in bulk, he won't last here just like the rest...

I mean shit, I can go to five guys and add 2 dollars more and get 2 burger patties and a bag of fries, and five guys is for sure better than Phil's deli... or I can get a hot-n-ready for 5 to 6 dollars and I can eat on that for two days... Not to mention, every time I go to the deli my order is the same, and the sub is always different than how I ordered it or was made... You have to have consistency to you know... Hell I can even go to the store and buy 3lbs. of turkey and a loaf of bread and shredded lettuce, mustard, ranch dressing for under 10 dollars...

When someone is BROKE, quality of food isn't a main part of their concern when trying to get food...
