The option to grab a quick smoke between classes may soon be long gone.
Several colleges nation-wide are moving to ban smoking on campus. The University of Oklahoma, the University of Oregon, Montgomery College and Montana State University are among the higher education institutions that have already imposed the campus-wide bans.
The University of California system announced in January that by 2014 all of its campuses would ban use or sale of cigarettes and chewing tobacco, USA Today reported
They should also ban driving within a 150 mile radius of the school as well. We don't want them to have to breathe in those fumes
ReplyDeleteComplete nonsense!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the ashtray SU students have made of the city sidewalks near the University?
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see the Moonbat Messiah's administration tackling the important and tough issues!
ReplyDeleteIf you read the second hand smoke study, you will find that the smoke concentrations studied were conducted within an 18"x18"box. Whenever ventilation was introduced the hazard was nil. So all these smoking bands for inside, are justified, but only from a second hand smoke aspect! We have a second hand smoking problem enact smoking ban in contained spaces…Ok.. We have a littering problem? Enact an outdoor ban! Instead of littering laws! Not ok ..We have a terrorist problem, pass patriot acts, defense bills, expand government, and create yet another useless bureaucracy. (Homeland defense). When do you think this will stop? Or even roll back. (Ha Ha LOL but I am really crying inside) Look outdoor bans are just another example of "as the vice slowly turns" our government gone amok. Another grab at basic freedoms. I dont care if you smoke or not but this trend should be sending off alarms in your American heart..dont support this little chip at basic freedom. Is this just another “nothing to see hear its for your own good” like speed cameras, sexual assault if you want to travel, beach cameras, drones, patriot acts, terrorism bills, health acts, laws planning to detain Americans without legal cause. You all better wake up its all total nonsense, a 180 degree turn, from the Bill of rights, constitution and common sense... I am really beginning to tire of these Anti American Freedom haters it really bothers me. We are a nation of freedom and respect for others freedoms and infringement thereof, but these types of laws do nothing but further erode basic freedoms. We are being played; its 1984 folks! bend over cause it going in deeper then you can imagine! But hey the school, government and university systems have successfully completed destroying the family unit and golden rule values like respect your neighbor. (the smoking problem solution in a nutshell) They have brainwashed our youth and indoctrinating them as Godless Marxist.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that they are going to ban smoking on property at SU. When the students or employees feel the need for a cigarette just let them pop a pill or get a drink of alcohol. That will be ok !!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you people have against being healthy?
