Every tear shed even more poignantly Tuesday night at the homecoming of troops touching down in Maryland on the eleventh year since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Marylanders and families who sacrificed while loved ones served overseas delivered a warm welcome home for the men and women who put their lives on the line defending America's freedom.
In addition, Operation Welcome Home Maryland members took part in the homecoming welcome for soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guard service members who pass through the International terminal at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
