Man Who Fell From I-95 Worked As Harford County Officer

A man who fell to his death from Interstate 95 was an off-duty police officer in Harford County, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

Maryland Transportation Authority police Sgt. Kirk Perez told 11 News that Charles Nelson Armetta, 29, of Joppa, was a K-9 officer for the Aberdeen Police Department. He had been with the department since 2007.

Armetta's death comes just days after a sheriff's deputy died in a crash on Thursday.
