Discrimination?

  1. Tell me what company is displaying this sign so I'll be certain to stay away. I don't mind not getting the senior discount, but for a company to display such a sign is telling me they don't want my business!

  3. I want to know as well. What an arrogant statement! Seniors are suffering as much or more in this economy. Word of mouth rules on the Eastern Shore!

  5. Seniors as a whole are taking much more out of SS and Medicare than they put in. That's the facts. How do all you working class folks feel about Old Folks welfare?

  6. People work like dogs all their life making a way for companies like this one to suceed. Now this place say F. U. to the very people who help this place thrive. I wish I knew who would display such a sign. I would make sure not one penny of my $698.00 a month retirement check would go into this establishment. This is what some of us live off a month for working so long and hard. I pay my taxes. I have lived my life so far horribly. I have served in the military. I even had the opprotunity to go to college. I guess this is the disrespect we all get for doing the right thing when we become senior citizen. Some of us didn't get the golden spoon in our mouth like others. We just worked hard all our lives to make an honest living. I'm too angry to say anymore.

  9. All of you that are so against Social Security should ask yourselves "where would my parent and grandparents been without SS".
I can answer that for you, YOU would have been supporting THEM along with trying to support yourself!
It amazes me how a program that has been around a long time, that people have paid into is now getting all of this negative attention with people wanting to abolish it! I totally understand the argument on welfare, because it is so extensively abused with apparently no oversight, but SS?
    Give me a break!

  10. ill ask any of you dissenters to go to harrington slots - make a day of it. several buses filled with seniors come in virtually all day and all night. i would estimate that nearly 75% of the occupants are seniors at any given time.

  11. hey, the money Seniors put into SS, IF the GOVERNMENT HAD left it there, and it GREW like it should have, it would pay for SS. the GOVERNMENT ROBBED IT, and is giving it to PEOPLE THAT NEVER WORK. get out of here you liberal class warfare loonies.

  13. many senior citizens are not as well off as you may think. not all of them held six figure incomes, they were fortunate to make $50k a year, raise children, pay the mortage and keep hungry mouths fed. with all the theiving Congress has done from the social securty administration over the years the retired are lucky there is anything left. any discount is deeply appreciated by my parents, who were never in the wealthy, elite crowd.

  14. No problem. You keep your discounts - I'll take my money elsewhere.

  15. Social Security kept 14.5 million seniors from falling below the poverty line last year. Only a small percentage of seniors are "wealthy."

Remember that the next time you get waited on by a little old lady in one of our restaurants or she hands you a fresh pot of coffee at the convenience store. I'm sure she could tell you about how high off the hog she lives.
