Detectives Make Arrest In Laurel Shooting


Location: 1500 Building of Hollybrook Apartments, Laurel, DE

Date of Occurrence: Monday September 17, 2012 at approximately 12:10 a.m.

Victim:

25 year old Bridgeville man

Defendant, Charges, and Bond Information:

Rihem Frisby, 20, Laurel, DE (Photo attached)
Attempted Murder 1st
Robbery 1st
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (2 counts)
Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited

Arraigned at JP2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $$255,000.00 cash bond.

Laurel, DE- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Laurel man in connection to the shooting that occurred early Monday morning at Hollybrook Apartments in Laurel.

Rihem Frisby, 20 of Laurel, DE was taken into custody at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 18th at Probation and Parole in Georgetown after he arrived for his visit with his probation officer.

The investigation revealed, the 25 year old male victim was sitting on the hood of his car when a black male, who was later identified by the victim as Rihem Frisby, approached him and was pointing a small handgun at him. Frisby demanded the victim give him everything he had. The victim complied and after doing so, Frisby attempted to “pistol whip” him in the head. The victim was able to avoid being struck in the head and began running away from Frisby toward the 1700 building of Hollybrook Apartments before being struck once in the back by a bullet fired from the gun. The victim was able to make it to the building before collapsing and 9-1-1 was called. EMS transported the victim to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Rihem Frisby was transported to Troop 4 in Georgetown where he was processed on the above listed charges. He was arraigned at JP2 and committed to SCI on $255,000.00 cash only bail.
