UM Oceanographer Tracks Rising Water Levels In Chesapeake Bay

Professor’s research shows region is vulnerable to land submerging under water

Ming Li is talking to the state Department of Natural Resources. He’s been meeting with the Maryland Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Li, an oceanographer, has spent the past two years studying the Chesapeake Bay, and while his findings have been published in national and international journals, they are little known outside the scientific community. He’s doing his best to change that.

  2. because of the hoax of global warming aka climate change we will not listen to these kinds of stories again.

    since the beginning of time there have been ebb and flow, colder to warmer, wet to dry, etc. history is just that; history. read about it for yourselves. people learned to deal with it. we will always learn to deal with it. next....

  3. 9:47 Hoax? Not sure what your 'beginning of time' is but throughout time, yes, there have been many ebb and flow periods. Specifically climate change has sparked few major events, such as mass extinction, ice age, I could go on and on here. Just to be clear these events did not occur overnight but over many years, but you must not be concerned about something that happens when you are gone?
