The July figures for the Casino at Ocean Downs were released this week, revealing the greatest month ever in the nearly two-year history of the gaming facility along Route 589 just south of Ocean Pines.

  1. So, why is O'malley continuing to RAISE taxes on working families to give it away to the listless, lazy entitlement crowd?

  3. We need jobs, not Casinos!
Like a drug addiction, I have personally seen what a gambling addiction do to a family. I once had a friend who had it all. A great house, a good job and a nice family. I saw him loose all three due to gambling in Atlantic City. I maxed out my credit cards back in the eighty's and learned the hard way. Took me almost ten years to pay it all back. I haven't been back since!
You can say all you want, but nothing good can come from a state that depends on gambling as their main revenue source!

  7. Folks,

That a gross figure, what is the net profit? Same place that asked the state to pay their overhead costs in 2012 first quarter? Same size casino in Delaware, Florida, or Oklahoma brings in $10mil a weekend. OMalley the great fuzzy math teacher! What a maroon
