A
Millersville woman has been charged with neglect and desertion of a
minor after she allegedly abandoned her infant outside a church in Anne
Arundel County.
Police
say Pettricia Finch-Miller, 32, left the boy, 2 months old, in a car
seat under a porch on a side entrance at Grace Point Presbyterian Church
in Severn.

ReplyDeleteI thought churches and hospitals were safe havens? Have they changed that rule/law or is it because she just left him and didn't hand him to someone. I'm not saying what she did was right I'm just curious.

You cant just leave a child, you have to hand it over to someone.. What if no one went to the side door of the chuech for a few days???

I think the mother made the best decision that she was capable of. She is concerned about her child's future.
