- A man wanted for holding his girlfriend hostage by gunpoint was
shot and killed by police Thursday evening after a confrontation in Columbia, Md.,
according to a press release.
The announcement came from the Howard County Department of Police, Office
of Public Affairs.
Police had a warrant for the man's arrest.
