Harry Reid Makes Wild Claim About Mitt

Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has revealed strong, and questionable accusations against Mitt Romney. The Nevada Democrat has told the Huffington Post that a Bain investor called his office claiming that Romney did not pay any taxes for 10 years. Sen. Reid and his aides have not identified the alleged caller, and the Romney campaign has criticized the claims and irreverent comments from Sen. Reid in regards to the late George Romney in the Huffington Post story.

Democrats have pressed the former Massachusetts governor to release more than his 2010 tax return and 2011 estimate, which Sen. Reid insists that if revealed, would bar Romney from making it through a Senate confirmation process as a Cabinet nominee.

  1. Harry Reid is a moron. He needs to sit down and shut up. A fine example of our government.

  3. Just because you lie about something doesn't make it true.

But I wonder how many boneheads will hear it and believe it?

  4. Are tax returns public domain?I ask that question because if they are,why not put Mitt's out there for the world to see.If a Bain exec has the proof to back his claim, could he go public with it?Please excuse my ignorance on this matter. It's just that I've never made enough money for anyone to even care about.Just curious.

  5. I am sure that once obama unseals all of his college transcripts, his own tax records, his real birth certificate, the reasons that he surrendered his license to practice law etc, etc, etc, Mr. Romney will be happy to supply his tax records. obama certainly talks a big talk about transparency where everyone else is concerned but won't do everyone the same courtesy as he demands of them. until then, all the screaming, hair-on-fire libs need to STFU.

  6. Harry Reid needs to do what REAL leaders (Mitt Romney) do and TELL the senate the August recess if off and it's time to come up with a budget.
This won't happen though. Who the democratics choose as leaders are the epitome of incompetance like "we have to pass the bill so you can find out what's in it" Perlosi.
Perlosi, Reid and the rest of the democratic politicians should be waking up every morning thanking God that those who vote democrat are dumber than they are.

  7. 12:50 Mitt Romney's tax returns have zero to do with anything. Just a diversionary tactic dreamed up by a president who has zero accomplishments to tout.
Tax returns have nothing to do with qualifications to be the US president. If Romney were a tax cheat we would know by now.
When you put a failure like Obama up against a very very accomplished man like Romney this is what happens.

  8. If he didn't pay taxes because his accountants properly navigated the US tax code that's not the same thing as tax fraud (although it again shows the need for reform and closing of loopholes).

  9. @12:57, i agree with you 100% on the tax return issue, i am mostly commenting on the issue of the double standard that the libs love to employ.

  10. I am in total agreement with 12:50! I couldn't have said it any better. Democrats trying to raise doubt about anyone is a joke. MR obama needs to show alot of stuff. I think maybe that's where we should start.
