'BATMAN' SHOOTING PROMPTS DEMOCRAT GUN BILLS

Democratic leaders in three big states have used this summer’s mass shooting in Colorado to push bills that would crack down on assault weapons and ammunition sales, rekindling a debate that has not gained much traction in Congress or on the presidential campaign.
In Illinois, Gov. Pat Quinn proposed that his state enact a strict ban on assault weapons, similar to California’s. New York lawmakers have proposed wide-ranging legislation that would limit weapons purchases.

  1. Let's get a law on the books that allows all law abiding citizens to be awarded a carry permit immediately and invited to open carry as much as possible. Churches could have weekend get togethers after church for gun handling, target practice, and shooting competitions! Yes, even on the airlines! I think this would tend to keep everyone polite and in line, and those who don't, well, they won't last very long.

  3. Just what we need more gun laws. Can't these democrats come up with something else? It is painfully obvious, the gun laws that are on the books now can't be enforced. Put the effort into reducing these studpid laws that prevent the police from being able to do the job effectively.

  4. Well until Batman shows up to protect us all, I would prefer to open carry. Ban guns then only criminals have them, they don't obey the law. I can think of a few improvised explosives that can be made with over the counter products.

People have been killing people since before Cain and Able, if you want somebody dead it doesn't take a gun. Baseball bat, golf club. You can mass murder people with one vehicle and a good crowd, what next we ban vehicles?

  5. 622, exactly, One cannot outlaw the very tool that serves to protect one from harm. When an idiot has a gun, there's only one thing that can stop him RIGHT NOW and that's a gun in the right hands. In the air or on the ground, or on the water. Everyone carrying is the safe way to go. After all, 95% of us are law abiding and want this peace. So, why not let us have it? And I'll need another half a billion rounds to keep up, I guess.

  6. Cars are dangerous and kill more people a year than guns... Can we please ban all cars?

  7. Look at Australia and what gun control did for them. Cops cannot keep up with the crime b/c no law abiding citizens have guns. W/O guns Obama can execute all of us!

  8. "When a lunatic goes on a shooting rampage, we are quick to blame everything and everyone except the shooter himself. Among myriad other things, we blame the law, access to guns, political rhetoric, Hollywood, spending cuts, and talk radio; all while the person who actually fired the gun and planned the crime is relegated to being a helpless agent of whichever external forces seem most to vex the author"
