Vandals have again hit a speed camera in Baltimore County.
It happened earlier this year to the same metal camera enclosure along Rolling Road near Catonsville High School.
The first time around back in April someone torched it.
This time it happened yesterday morning.

need guard 24/7
ReplyDeleteCool, when they gonna start doing that around here
ReplyDeleteI would look the other way if I saw something happen to our speed cameras.
ReplyDeleteI work in that area. Its a short drive, residential area with a lot of foot traffic. People would rather vandalize the camera than slow down a bit that's sad.

There's more to it than that and you know it.
12:46, then you are part of the problem. Why don't you start spraypainting cameras in banks and stores so the shoplifters and robbers won't get caught.

Banks don't give us tickets. Use a reasonable analogy dimwit.
No, but they hit us hard for over draft fees !!!
DeleteResistance. Authority and cops HATE it. They can't, however, stop it...and they hate that, too.
ReplyDelete11:04 - if they put a guard there...have the guard issue the tickets and you won't need a camera....
ReplyDelete803, your point is directly on the mark! That's the reason for the vandalism, it's because we would rather have a fellow human see the situation and make a decision whether a citation is in order rather than have a machine rapidly stamping out tickets to all.
ReplyDeleteHey, know how to fool the new motion detecting prompters at red lights? Take a mirror with you next time out. When the light turns red and you are stopped there, hold out the mirror and flash the reflection at the detector. You will have a green light very shortly!
And there's probably a trick to the speed cams as well. Anyone?
It's a perfectly sound analogy. Both exist to catch people who break the law. Who's the dimwit now?
ReplyDelete@ 9:46 The only way your analogy makes sense is that banks and speed cameras screw people over. Dimwit.
