U.S. Weighs Retail Sweep After Wal-Mart Bribery Scandal
U.S. authorities are considering launching a wide-ranging examination of the retail industry for violations of an anti-foreign bribery law, after Wal-Mart and other retailers have come forth with their own potential offenses, people familiar with the matter said.
Retailers have been reviewing their international operations in light of a bribery scandal at Wal-Mart Stores Inc's (WMT.N) operations in Mexico that is the subject of investigations by the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If U.S. authority are looking for for violations of an anti-foreign bribery law, then they should start where bribery is the most rampant. Investigate every single U.S. Senator and U.S. Congressman in the United States House and Senate. Then to get the proof they need to put the multitudes of criminals in jail, investigate the transactions of every single U.S. and foreign lobby (legalized pay off machine to politicians). That's where corruption begins and where it is the worst. It's the United States of America's political way of doing business. No need to go any further and waste more money on another fictitious federal investigation. All of Americas real corruption is centered in Washington D.C., it's home. Throw in the White House while you're at it. Start at the bottom with the weakest peons (their lips will vibrate the quickest) and then work your way up to the bigger fish, and we'll all get to watch the rats come out of the woodwork. After all they've already built those internment camps for U.S. citizens, stick the thieves in there for life and have a few of those spy drones keep an eye on them, maybe even lob a missile in every now and then just as a test to make sure their still paying attention. After all, isn't that what our corrupt politicians have been planning, but have yet to implement for us, the average, every day disgusted, angry American citizens of the United States? That's where the majority of politicians belong, in jail.
