Norfolk Southern Railroad Will Close Crossing at St. George Road for Repairs

Laurel -- As a public courtesy, the Department of Transportation (DelDOT) wants to inform area residents that Norfolk Southern Railroad will close the railroad crossing on St. George Road between Bacon Road and Bi State Boulevard near Laurel for repairs to the crossing. The crossing will be closed at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 23. The crossing will reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 27, pending weather.

Detour routes:

Westbound: Bi State Boulevard to Bacons Road and return to St. George Road

Eastbound: St. George Road to Bacons Road onto Bi State Boulevard and back to St. George Road

DelDOT will post signs to alert motorists of the closure and the accompanying detour routes.
