NEW YORK -- NBC has come under fire in the British press for editing
out a performance during the London Olympics opening ceremony that has
been interpreted by some as a tribute to victims of the "7/7" terrorist attacks that rocked that city in 2005.
The network, which has exclusive U.S. broadcast rights to the London games, cut instead to a taped interview between Ryan Seacrest and gold-medalist swimmer Michael Phelps.
The Daily Mail scoffed that NBC replaced a "tribute to 7/7 victims with bland Michael Phelps interview."

ReplyDeleteMORE polictically correct media manipulation. God knows, we wouldn't want to offend Muslims (by reminding them of their long history of murdering innocent people). Killing people who aren't expecting it (unarmed women and children, mostly other MUSLIMS, is their speciality) in markets, cafes, subways, and mosques is something they glorify. Very proud of, actually. Thank you, religion of peace. Now, if you can find the time, would you please get back to helping NASA develop new technologies and scientific discovery? It might be too late to tell us how much you have contributed to the history of the USA, but obama might be able to give you some help with that - he seems to know some facts that the rest of us haven't heard in that regard...
