Mississippi to Become Only State Without Abortion Clinic?

Mississippi soon could become the only U.S. state without an abortion clinic as a new law takes effect this weekend. Critics say it would force women in one of the country's poorest states to drive hours to obtain a constitutionally protected procedure or carry unwanted pregnancies to term.

Top officials say limiting abortions is exactly what they have in mind.

Republican Gov. Phil Bryant says he wants Mississippi to be "abortion-free." The law takes effect Sunday.

Abortion rights supporters have sued, asking a judge to temporarily block the law from taking effect. So far, that hasn't happened.

  1. Tell you what, Governor, how about you put a drop box at your mansion to accept the products of rape and incest.

  2. Quit with the "rape and incest" arguement. You know as well as the next person victims of rape and incest rarely get pregnant. It's almost nonexistance esp with the advent of the morning after pill.

  3. And they say Mississippi has the worst education system in the nation. Seems to me they learned something good along the way. Protecting the rights of ALL women including the yet to be born ones is a lesson lost on the rest of this selfish nation. I know the courts say killing unborn babies is legal but we won't have any of those fancy lawyers to defend us when we stand before Almighty God at the Judgement Seat of Christ. Thanks for the lesson Mississippi!

  4. Quit with the whole abortion argument. It's legal deal with it. Contraception-obsessed loons.

  5. Alex many have no problem with contraception. Abortion is murder no matter how you look at it.

  6. Alex you are the only one to bring it up. Are you obsessed?
