Intelligence Officials Admitted They Spied On Law-Abiding Americans
The director of national intelligence said they violated citizens' Fourth Amendment rights against unreasonable searches on at least one occasion. It said the administration has addressed concerns and both Congress and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court scrutinized the activity. The agency did not offer any more details in a letter to Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) Wyden has accused the government of reviewing emails and phone calls of innocent citizens who are communicating with people overseas.
Probably a good way to catch them doing wrong.

ReplyDeleteCommunications that do not go overseas are protected except under subpoena as most of us understand. When communicating overseas from here and the person you called is a "bad guy", doesn't that imply that you may be up to no good? Further, how do you apply US laws to something that goes over its borders? Is is legal to tap the communication in Egypt but not in the US?
The government does what it wants ether way no article or any kind of comment will change that.
ReplyDelete3:31 Wrong. With all due respect.
ReplyDeleteLEO's do what they want with the validation of the Government [as in abuse of power].
Please stop acting like ANY of these agencies, the FBI, Homeland Security, CIA, the entire executive branch, ok the entire government bureaucracy, give a rats ace about that outdated and worn out document called the Bill of Rights. thats so yesterday. They have do trash the Constitution in order to protect us against all the fake and terrble boogeymen that are waitng in the dark, just outside our door. And most of you eat it up like cake at a birthday party. WE MUST have warrantless searches, secret trials and prisons, Nazi "checkpoints", imprisonment of reporters, and "black-bag" break-ins. Its for our own good. And the government would NEVER abuse its power. Never has before has it??????????????? Thats why they NEED 450 MILLION rounds of ammo for an agency who job it is to PROTECT Americans. In case we are invaded by 50 million Salvadorians. On Thursday night. All at once....They'll be ready!
