Appearing on “Fox & Friends” on Thursday, Fox Business Network
host John Stossel once again used the video of him pandhandling to make a
point. As he noted earlier this spring,
he was able to make about $11-per-hour posing as a homeless man,
begging for money on the streets of New York while trying to illustrate
how the U.S. is turning into a “nation of freeloaders” for a segment on
his show.
“Yes, we are turning into a nation of freeloaders because you feel
like a sucker if you’re not when government keeps offering it to you,”
Stossel explained.
Co-host Brian Kilmeade agreed, saying that the federal government is
always promoting their food stamp and welfare programs on television and
radio. Stossel went on to admit that even he at one point has been a
government “freeloader” because he collected federal flood insurance on
his beach house.

ReplyDeleteJust TODAY I received an official letter from the IRS telling me I could be eligible for over $5700 in refunds that I didn't claim on my taxes for EIC.
ReplyDeleteI didn't claim it because I wasn't eligible, but they're desperate to put taxpayers' money into peoples hands to get them to vote for Guess-Who.
Next will be Ed McMahon showing up with a TV crew to offer me Food Stamps.
lol, so 2:48 you would have us believe that the EIC just started with Obama? Or that the IRS just learned how to send mail?
ReplyDeletesaw this like a month or 2 ago. looked really tempting to try in all seriousness. i was amazed how well he did. beats working for a living.
ReplyDeleteall cash.
2:48's point totally went over you head 3:07. They didn't say EIC started with Obama, nor by anyone's stretch of the imagination was in even implied that it was in that comment.
ReplyDeleteAnd no kiddin---no the IRS didn't not just learn how to send mail-DUH but what they are now doing (and yes since Obama took over) they are offering "advice" because they want to "help you."
2:48 = liar. You didn't receive anything from IRS.
ReplyDeleteI received a letter from the IRS in March of this year. It said," How much money did you make in 2011"? Just send it in". The money must be going to free health care.
ReplyDeleteThe goal of communism is to convert the population into a state of dependency upon government. That way the techno-crats have job security.

Ed is dead.
This, from a man who built a home on the beach who well knew this home would be destroy by a hurrican. After the hurrican destroyed his home, he used hard working middle class taxed federal subsidies and rebuild the home cheaply pocketing most of the federal dollars. He then sold his home and became rich off of federal dollars. Now, he is one of the most famous fox news most outspoken commentator/critic against federal government assistance for the middle class abd poor. This hypocrit became famous using federal government. What give?
ReplyDeleteLike him and other wealthy people ,they have learned the art of getting government grants and subsidies.Like a couple in Va who donated $100,000 to Obama and got $200,000,000 in government contracts!
