Stop by and get your FREE bumper sticker at the SBYNEWS.COM Truck. We're not sure if Mayor Jim Ireton will be present but if he is he'll be handing out his own version of bumper stickers below.
Did you ever consider putting the word Salisbury on your t-shirts or bumper stickers? Just to inform those as to what town you are running for mayor? Might not be many, but I know my parents don't use the internet so they don't know about you and your blog--and they vote religiously! Good luck with everything. :-)
This is actually about the fireworks...My fiance and I just bought a house in Salisbury. We are originally from northern Maryland, and this is our first 4th of July here. We are trying to figure out the best place to sit to view the fireworks that are supposed to happen on Bateman St.
I couldn't believe that several co-workers at a downtown eatery were not even aware of the Salisbury fireworks and they also live here in the city.
I won't be attending here in Salisbury. Since Salisbury stopped our fireworks, I have been going to the Hebron Carnival for the fireworks, where I can see some old friends with the kids and the Carnival itself is great.
11:28 First let me welcome you to the ES. The area in Sailsbury that they are having the fireworks is new to everyone. I don't think anyone knows of a good spot. I'm sure parking will be a problem and there will be a crowd. I have found that the smaller towns have a better atmosphere when it comes to fireworks. Hebron and Willards both put on a great show and while there is still a crowd it doesn't take nearly as long to get in and out of the event.
1:53 I'm not sure why they did it on the 4th but I like the idea. If they had them on the 4th people have to rush back home so they can get the kids in bed and get to work the next day. This way most people don't have to work on the 4th.
Having the fireworks on July 3rd is like celebrating Christmas on Dec. 24th. Good, but not as fun as on the actual day! Happy Independence Day everyone, and be thankful for our freedom! :-)
That is all I will be wearing!
ReplyDeleteWill his new bumper stickers have a rainbow on it.
ReplyDeleteToo many rednecks for Ireton to even think of showing up.
ReplyDeleteI only hope that someone knocks you right in your arrogant chops. That, would make my fourth.

ReplyDeleteIt is on the bumper stickers and tee shirts.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I see it now. It just didn't jump out at me. Have a good 4th.
ReplyDeleteHe is going to the fireworks show at that beach in Delaware. Not many rednecks there.

U mean the fireworks are tonight?
ReplyDeleteWill they have them tomorrow night also?
ReplyDeleteThe fireworks in Willards are tonight, yes!
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't Willards having their fireworks on the 4th?? Just wondering why they would have them a day early?
