Correctional Officer Arrested For Sexual Relations In A Detention Facility

Georgetown, DE- The Delaware State Police have arrested a correctional officer after it was reported he was having sexual relations with a female prisoner.

State Police Detectives began an investigation into the allegations on June 29, 2012, after a 22 year old female prisoner disclosed to prison officials that she and Daniel L. Mann had become involved in a sexual relationship. The female reported that shortly after she entered into the work release program on March 7th, she and Mann, who worked in the unit, began a friendly relationship that soon became sexual in nature on three separate occasions. Each encounter occurred in the facility where the victim was housed.

Mann was arrested this afternoon at Troop 4 in Georgetown on three counts of Sexual Relations in a Detention Facility. He was arraigned at JP2 and is currently committed to SCI on $4,500.00 cash bail.
