Christianity and Homosexuality by Matt Slick

The homosexuals and lesbians have gained considerable political and social momentum in America.  They have "come out" as the term goes, left their closets, and are knocking on the doors of your homes.  Through TV, radio, newspapers, and magazines, they are preaching their doctrine of tolerance, equality, justice, and love.  They do not want to be perceived as abnormal or dangerous.  They want acceptance and they want you to welcome them with open, loving arms, approving of what they do.

In numerous states in America several bills have been introduced by the pro-homosexual politicians to ensure that the practice of homosexuality is a right protected by law.  Included in these bills are statements affecting employers, renters, and schools.  Churches could possibly be required to hire a quota of homosexuals, and "sensitivity" training courses would be "strongly urged" in various work places.  There is even legislation that would force the state to pick up the tab for the defense of homosexual agendas in lawsuits while requiring the non-homosexual side to pay out of his/her pocket.  Is this fair?  Of course not.  But fairness isn't the real issue here.  It is social engineering.  Think about it, the homosexual community wants legal protection for having intercourse with people of the same sex.  And, if that weren't enough, it wants its views taught in schools, promoted over the airwaves, and codified in literature.

The Christian church, however, has not stood idly by.  When it has spoken out against this political immorality, the cry of "separation of church and state" is shouted at the so-called "religious bigots."  But when the homosexual community attempts to use political power to try and control the church and get its agenda taught in schools, no such cry of bigotry is heard from the sacred halls of the media.  Why?  Because it isn't politically correct to side with Christians.

  1. Well, you are right. Good luck convincing idiots spewing lies. It's a tough row to hoe.

  2. I'm sorry, at one time I would have agreed with this. But lately it seems that the momentum has reversed and is now against the gay and lesbian community.

Where people would not speak out against gays before, they are becoming more vocal in their opposition to that type of lifestyle.

At least that's my take on it. I could be wrong, I've been wrong before.

It seems like a lot of people are rallying behind chick-fil-a and taking a stand against homosexuals and lesbians.

    What say you?

  3. You're an idiot, who models your bigotry around false premises, assertions and agendas.

Taught it in schools? Promoted on airwaves? Codified in literature? Exactly where is this occurring. In Homoville, Rainbow City, UnicornIsland?

Social engineering? Is that what its called when your bigotry doesn't support pushes to educate and integrate a still degraded and persecuted class of people, our family members and friends who were never granted the choice to homosexual no more than you chose to be heterosexual. And to use the bible and Christianity to support such ludicrous bigotry is deplorable. You obvious don't know the bible in any context OR Jesus.

Don't speak for Christians, there are already far too many UN-CHRIST-LIKE CHURCH ENTHUSIASTS claiming some bigot based moral authority. If God thought it was wrong he would have said so in nearly the 32000 versus in the bible, if Jesus had an issue, the same --- but Nothing. And then to use Leviticus to enforce such disdain for another human being. Leviticus wasn't even meant for Gentiles, moron! And if you knew that "abomination" is mentioned elsewhere in the bible, and in every context is used to label cultural difference, not judge them. When you actually do your bible study, here's an idea, actually STUDY.

And please note, CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A POLITICAL PARTY, please stop pandering as if it were and attempting to use us to enforce your agenda --- and work on your bigotry or your suppressed gay self-denial.

So tired of you people! It's like nothing permeates that skull of yours. We're Americans! Act like it! and while you at it, try to act like a real Christian too.

  4. I will disagree, 10:05. What really happened is that the MSM asked a pointed question to a person who has had his answer to the pointed question posted at every store in his very successful restaraunt chain since the first store opened. He just repeated his answer, it went to print, and the gay community went into uproar mode charging him with hate and vindictiveness, neither of which was true. You must note that since that happened, Mr. Cathy has not made any more comment than his own original stated belief, the gays have been very vocal every day, and the Christian population is fairly quiet except they are voting with their feet and patronizing Chick-fil-a stores by the millions IN SUPPORT OF Mr. Cathy, NOT against anything! Get it now?

  5. 1240 am apparently you did not read the rest of the article where Jesus speaks out on homosexuals in the new testament. No homosexual will enter heaven. I didn't say God's word says it to that everyone will give an account to Him alone.

  6. Oh yeah 12:40.. Since you obviously prefer a bloggers representation of scripture over the genuine article maybe you should reevaluate your faith. Perhaps devil worship?

There is no word for 'homosexual' in the original latin or hebrew texts. And if you are using Leviticus perhaps you missed the part about it not even meant for us as Gentiles. But regardless of that, you probably ignore every single other provision of Leviticus code. Which is fine, because it NEVER applied to you, EVER, unless you're an old testament Jew who was a member of these rigorous purity temples. And this is especially clear by Jesus Hebrews 9:16 which since your only a 'church enthusiast' means that with Jesus's death came the new covenant. The Holiness Code of Leviticus was not given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. If you don't understand the feeling of that try another faith like being Muslim to support you hate and despise.

That nulls Corinthians and Leviticus to your evil ends. Now Romans 1. IF you take a little time a read ALL of it and try to understand context that much like Leviticus was a Holiness code for Jews at Temple, Romans 1 was code for everyone at a Shrine (a place of religious significance) which they did not want the prostitution and ways of fornication and self-indulgence IN THE SHRINE. Being gay and doing the nasty in a shrine would be no different that you doing the nasty with your heterosexual sex partner. It is disrespect to the place of holiness. Not that 'church enthusiasts' conduct themselves honorably, legitimately or with Christ-like goodness anyway. Being fake and waving your arms around does not make you a Christian, nor does being spiteful to other in or out of church. Such conduct is the absence of Christ.

Laziness to read, learn and understand biblical context is no excuse. And taking the word of a hateful, lackluster, misinterpreting writing to support bigotry is deplorable laziness. Let's hope the author never asks you to jump off a bridge.

  7. Now go forth and be good Christian. Go to that fine Christian value eatery Chic-fil-a that says that they're not but operate on biblical principles according to S. Truet Cathy, President of Chic-fil-a. Please enjoy the Chic-fil-a Bacon platter or the Chic-fil-a Sausage platter.

Pay no attention to Leviticus 11:8; The swine is unclean to you. Their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch. They are unclean to you.

Bon' Appetite Leviticus Holiness Code violators!! Oh yeah, its selective right? Ignore what you like, and use the rest only when it is inline with your bigotry.

  8. God say in the last days men will lay with men and women with women. Of course He also stated this is an abomination and unacceptable for the kingdom of God. Yes; any sexual sin is sin. God was just pointing out that our society would be so very depraved that we would see more and more perverted, un-natural acts in the last days.

My dear friends who are caught up in un-natural acts whether it be homosexuality, lesbianism, beastiality, pedophelia or anything else, their is a way out. God forgives ALL sinners (we're all sinners) when you ask to be forgiven through His Son Jesus. God will then tell you to "go and sin no more." this is what He has told all of us who have trusted in Him. Do we still fail from time to time? Yes we do, but as we learn to trust Him more and more each day He promises He makes a way of escape.

there's really NO excuse if you follow God's way. PLEASE read this in full. if you do you will see there really is a merciful God for all of mankind.

  10. Un-natural? It takes place in 1500 species. I by that, I mean it has been observed in those species and that is might species we've studies and observed in depth. I would hardly denote it as unnatural as enough species currently engage in it to see it occurs frequently in nature.
