Spamalot is a hoot!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the Civic Center is not set up well for broadway shows you either have to sit sideways in cramped seats
ReplyDeleteSit on the floor seating and not be able to see the stage because of heads/hair and or the stage is not raised enough
Personally I would rather go to any high school where the seats are set up like theater seats down towards the stage
I tried it - gave tickets away and won't spend the money again
@ 1:00 - Agreed! Was gifted with season tickets this year and was very frustrated with the seating. We upgraded to floor seating for all shows and couldn't see worth a hoot. Riverdance was especially disappointing as you couldn't see the footwork of the dance - which was the draw of the show! The only one that I felt was well done was Young Frankenstein, even though the stage could have been a little higher.
ReplyDeletePerhaps they need to put the stage parallel to the bleacher seats and all the way back against the far set of seats. Then they can accomplish a better view for all viewers.
Frustrating.
