We need a bridge somewhere in this location. It would relieve the Mill St. problem immediately.Pls. listen to the thousands that live off of Nanticoke Rd.
I agree that a bridge would be the ideal situation but the infastructure on the south side of the river is crumbling now. Unless they put a new road in all the way to 13 a bridge does no good. Seems to me the last leg of the bypass was supposed to go thru this stretch at one point but I doubt it will happen in my lifetime. Now that the state has the fastrack around salisbury for the oc bound traffic they could care less about us locals.
A bridge will never happen unless it is a draw bridge that that would cost too much. I low bridge would kill the port and shutdown shipbuilding. we need the few jobs that the port still brings.
Ferry has been shut down again for the past few WEEKS for "mechanical repair". It is shut down MORE OFTEN than it is open... Does anyone know what the problem is THIS time or when it will reopen?
Finally!
ReplyDeleteexpected? wait and see, wonder how long before it's shut down again!
ReplyDeleteThat ferry is a joke Wicomico county would be better served with a bridge.
