SPD Press Releases 6-14-12

Duckenson Osias Florestal, 21yo of Salisbury, MD was arrested on an arrest warrant charging him with 2nd degree Rape, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th degree Sex Offense, 2nd degree Assault, False Imprisonment, and Contribute to Conditions of a Child.

On June 10, 2012 at approximately 2200hrs, the victim (juvenile female) left her residence to visit a friend in her neighborhood.
As the victim walked to her friend’s house a vehicle pulled up

next to her. She recognized the driver as Florestal who offered the victim a ride.

Victim entered the vehicle and Florestal drove to a secluded area near Dover Dale playground. Upon stopping the vehicle, Florestal locked the vehicle doors preventing the victim from exiting. Florestal then climbed over the center console of the vehicle and on top of the victim. The victim repeatedly told Florestal to stop, which he did not and the victim started to punch and kick him. Florestal was able to remove the victim’s clothing and engaged in sexual intercourse against the
victim’s will.

Detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Florestal who was located in Ocean City, MD on June 11, 2012. Detectives contacted the Ocean City Police Department for assistance in serving the arrest warrant. Officers from the OCPD responded to the 2300 block of Philadelphia Ave and arrested Florestal pursuant to the warrant. Florestal is currently being held without bond.
