Rodney King, the black motorist whose 1991 videotaped beating by Los
Angeles police officers was the touchstone for one of the most
destructive race riots in the nation's history, died Sunday. He was 47.
King's fiancé called 911 at 5:25 a.m. to report that she found him at
the bottom of the swimming pool at their home in Rialto, Calif., police
Lt. Dean Hardin said.
Officers arrived to find King in the water and unresponsive, with no
signs of foul play. He was transported to Arrowhead Regional Hospital,
where he was pronounced dead at 6:11 a.m, Hardin said.
The San Bernardino County coroner will perform an autopsy within 48 hours.

The tape showed 5 criminals: one lowlife who is now dead, and five hiding behind a badge. Wonder who they will blame for his death: the alcohol distributor or the Marijuanna pusher. Of course, it had nothing to do with Rodney King. Wonder if race will be blamed on this too.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I bet they find drugs in his system!
ReplyDeleteIt's George Bush's fault.
ReplyDelete5:02pm you are a Richard Head. There was only one criminal that day. God Bless the men in Blue.
ReplyDeleteHow can someone out of the ghetto have their own pool?
ReplyDeletegood
ReplyDeleteHey, the FOP gave him access to the pool all to himself. Why did he abuse that privilege?
ReplyDeleteNot worth writing an article on He was a waste!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, the LAPD told the Korean store owners to vacate their property because the police didn't have enough officers to do the job. So the Korean people stood in front of their stores and shot looters. And. the looters stopped looting. Nuff said.

You are obviously a cop hater and you are the one that constantly puts cop hating comments on here.

Wrong for the third time.
Nowhere did I say I hated cops. I just corrected your misinformation.
You said there was only one criminal there. Yet there were 3 convictions of police, not to mention the changes in LAPD policies.
Maybe you're the one who keeps saying cops do no wrong.
Only in your little fantasy world.

Actually, Sir/Ma'am, YOU are wrong. At the state level, there were NO convictions of any criminal behavior on the part of the police officers. Afterward, the federal government, wishing to quiet the growing tempest from the black community, charged the police officers with civil rights violations. Only two officers were convicted of any civil rights violations. Each received a slap on the wrist.
I mean, can't we all just get along. No we couldn't because there will always be cops who take that badge to heart and believe they can do no wrong. And if this wasn't the Picasso of Cops getting off scott free. We really do have some racist rednecks on this shore.
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way I am the one always talking about how much I dislike cops. You know why? Perfect example right here. The blue sheild is always up and ready to protect/serve the police. But who is there to protect and serve us?
ReplyDelete10:40, preach on. I don't hate cops but from life long first hand experience they are a band of blind supporters who, even in the wrong, will support their police community. In short, they're usually well meaning sheeple.

ReplyDeleteWell that's funny. I read there was one state conviction and then the feds stepped up and got two convictions.
Cops receiving 30 months is a 'slap on the wrist' to you? Compared to what they did, you are probable right.
And what about the 3.8 million settlement?
But I guess you're right. There was no wrong doing here.
Are you wearing a uniform?
