ReplyDeleteThe fact that you were the recipient of whomever called, it really doesn't matter who did it, Ireton defends the very people who made the call and attempts to point a finger at you.
Mr. Ireton, I believe you are the one with mental problems and this election can't come soon enough.
Okay, I listened to the whole thing. My takeaways are:
ReplyDelete1. The Mayor rambles and dissembles and doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I think the whole mayor thing is over his head.
2. If Joe took the call in Delmar, Delaware and it supposedly came from a 302 number what jurisdiction does Salisbury PD have? There jurisdiction stops at the city limits, doesn't it?
I'm going to have to listen to it again. This time with pen and paper. Joe's lawyer needs to amend the lawsuit and add additional charges of defamation.

ReplyDeleteI was very impressed with Joe's interview. He was professional, didn't point fingers or get defensive and even convinced me that Jim Ireton probably made the phone call. Unfortunately for jim it backfired because he finally came up against someone who won't stand down. Jim acted like he took a lot of advice from Barrie Tilghman before doing this interview and we all know where that landed her.

After he quit the council several years ago I really hoped he had grown up and learned from his decision. Now I'm convined that if this guy is told no or you are wrong he's just going to throw a fit and pass the blame off on someone else. Even a victim. That is what Joe is here isn't it.

ReplyDeleteSome elected a President because of guilt and some elected a Mayor because of guilt. Unfortunately, BOTH turned out to be disasters. The next time, I care about the candidate, not the piece of garbage playing the race, gender, or even class game. If I sense that they need help, I've learned that they probably do.
ReplyDeleteI think I and many others made a mistake. This (silly) instance is just an example. Sometimes we are faced with the lesser of two evils (in Ireton's case) and we end up with garbage but not just as much. I think this is where Salisbury currently stands.
The ability to cross dress has no bearing on the ability to lead or guide. Dating and governing are now obviously distinct skills.

ReplyDeleteThat's not necessarily required at this point. Ireton, as an individual, made a call to harass Albero. Ireton, as they mayor, used public resources to cover it up. If the City initiated an investigation based upon direction rather than merit, they need their own defense while Ireton needs to prove he didn't, as an individual, harass Albero. There are more than plenty individuals that the Mayor, in his official capacity, drew into this mess.

He is saying that Joe Albero has to prove in court that he is a Salisbury resident. Why does he have to prove to some court Jim Ireton? Who is going to take this to court Jim Ireton? I am sorry, but if he has a drivers license with a City address, a registered vehicle, a voter registration card and in fact a residence in Salisbury he has already proven he is a resident.
Who says anyone has to prove in court they are a resident of the area they want to represent during an election.
Who is going to take this to court? Is Jim Ireton suggesting the city tax payers are going to foot the bill for his re-election campaign?
Also Jim Ireton suggested the city tax payers are going to have to foot the bill for Joe Albero's suit against Jim Ireton. From what I have seen the law suit is against Jim Ireton, everyday citizen. The law suit is not against the City of Salisbury or the Mayor of Salisbury. I certainly hope the Council Majority looks into this immediately.

Ireton's phone could have been in his vehicle charging, that question has never been an issue. The phone can still be used while it is on charge. Jimmy is tap dancing as fast as he can. Remember, when lying, one must also remember all the details of the web being woven!
