Economists: Being Near A New Walmart Actually Increases Home Values
While the sight of a new Walmart store going up always causes some area residents to frown, a new report claims that houses within the immediate area of a new Walmart actually see a slight uptick in value.

I avoid it also but not as extremely as you. I would rather support a local store if given the chance and it wasn't too cost prohibitive.
Walmart is cheaper on a lot of stuff. Goods are mainly from China tho so that's another thorn.
And the people you encounter there, especially north Walmart, are not always pleasant, to put it nicely.
Plus, I don't like how they treat their employee's. But economically, especially in these days, it just makes more sense to go there and save some money.
