The Boy Scouts of America will not reconsider its policy banning openly
gay boy scouts and scout leaders from participating in the
organization despite a recent online petition, signed by 275,000
people, calling for a change in policy and a resolution calling for
local Boy Scout chapters to decide their own membership policies.
“Contrary to media reports, the Boy Scouts of America has no plans to
change its membership policy. The introduction of a resolution does
not indicate the organization is ‘reviewing’ a policy or signal a
change in direction,” according to an official statement from the Boy
Scouts of America national office.
“The BSA is a voluntary, private organization that sets policies that
are best for the organization,” reads the statement. “The BSA
welcomes all who share its beliefs but does not criticize or condemn
those who wish to follow a different path.”

Gays need to stop bullying the Boy scouts.
ReplyDeleteMy son will never be a Boy Scout while this policy is in place and I'll never support their fundraisers either.
ReplyDeleteOn my honor I will do my best

ReplyDeleteIF YOU DON'T LIKE HOW THE SCOUTS ARE RUN THEN LEAVE THEM HELL ALONE AND GO PURSUE YOUR OWN GAY FANTASIES, LIBERAL NUTCASES. GO RUIN SOME OTHER COUNTRY.
5:46 - you have the right to not support the Boy Scouts and they have the right to not allow members of deviant sexual groups to join their ranks. It's really that simple. We live in a country where we have choices, you don't have to like it. If you had the gumption you could start your own gay/lesbian/transgender group and maybe even give out a badge for antiqueing, but my guess is you would rather just complain.
ReplyDelete@5:46 The Scouts have done just fine for the last 100 years without your help.

ReplyDeleteGood. If your raising your child to accept homosexuality as "normal" he doesn't need to be in boy scouts anyway.
Maybe you can start a group called the Metropanzy-scouts. Then they can have sewing, cooking and decorating classes for merit badges to become a rainbow scout!
Sweetie.
good for them.

No openly gay Boy Scout leaders are allowed? Why, that's an abomination! An outrage! I mean, really, who is going to teach our young men how to accessorize...
ReplyDeleteWell, now we know Obama cannot be a Boy Scout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy do gays want access to young boys?
