Incident: DUI
Date of Incident: 7 May 2012
Location: U.S. 13, Delmar, MD
Suspect: Thomas Charles Parish Jr., 22, Delmar, MD

Narrative: On 7 May 2012
at 2:14 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle operated by Thomas Parish for exceeding the speed limit on U.S. 13 in Delmar, MD. Upon making contact with Parish, the deputy detected an odor of alcohol emanating from within Parish’s vehicle which led the deputy to administer sobriety tests to Parish.

After the testing, the deputy concluded that Parish was under the influence of alcohol and placed him under arrest. During processing, Parish declined the opportunity to take the breath test.

The deputy released Parish on citations.

Speeding

Incident: Possession of Marijuana
Date of Incident: 3 May 2012
Location: 1200 block of Orchard Circle, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Sean Brandon Barnes, 19, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 3 May 2012
at 10:38 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sean Brandon Barnes after Barnes was caught behind a residence in the 1200 block of Orchard Circle smoking what the deputy recognized as marijuana.

The deputy took Barnes into custody and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Barnes on Personal Recognizance.

Incident: Residential Burglary Arrest
Date of Incident: 4 May 2012
Location: 6000 block of Ayrshire Drive, Hebron, MD
Suspect: 1. Ryan Michael Conway, 18, Hebron, MD
2. Pete Edward Powell, 18, Hebron, MD

Narrative: On 3 April 2012
a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred in the 6000 block of Ayrshire Drive. The deputy learned that unknown perpetrators entered the house in an apparent attempt to cause malicious mischief. The house was in obvious disarray with empty beer cans strewn throughout the interior. Whoever entered the house also used lit cigarettes to burn holes in the furniture in various locations.
Investigation identified two suspects, Ryan Conway and Pete Powell as the perpetrators of this incident.

Through subsequent interviews, the deputy learned the pair entered the residence through an unsecured rear door knowing the residents were gone and caused the malicious damage.

The deputy obtained arrest warrant for both Conway and Powell and they were both arrested on 4 May 2012. Upon arrest, they were both transported to the Central Booking unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After their initial appearances, the Commissioner detained them both in the Detention Center in lieu of $20,000.00 bond each.
