Welcome To Salisbury, Maryland.
"Anonymous said...I like going to Eric the Barber, but I hate that I have to worry if I'm going to get a ticket 'cause the meter might run out...maybe if it was free, (and there was actually a reason to BE downtown), I might wander around and possibly go in a shop or two (if there were any shops)......."
Is there something wrong with the big lot that allows 2 hours of parking for free? If the barber takes more than 2 hours, find another one.
ReplyDeleteno dissrespect to eric! but thats why i quit goin to him. sorry!
ReplyDeletenice to know that all other crime in salisbury has been solved and ended and we are down to the lowly parking violators! yea!
ReplyDeleteThis is the only way the current administration can make any money off of the ghost town that once was Downtown.
ReplyDeleteThey used to reduce the parking ticket cost to $1 if you paid it within the first hour, but recently (as I unfortunately found out), they changed it.
ReplyDeleteWhat's awful is that lots of the parking revenue is generated from people who have court cases in district court. It is rare to get in and out of court in under 2 hours, but that is the maximum time on the meter. The lot behind district court is never full. Why not allow a four hour limit on meters?
Joe, you should file a public information act request with the city to find out what their revenue is off of parking fines versus their revenue off of meters.
That's one of the reasons I don't go downtown. You constantly have to worry about Vic or the meter lady. Also....Eric...sorry but I you talk more than you cut hair. It takes forever. Gotta find another barber.
ReplyDeleteI have found when I go to a hairdresser they want to talk and socialize. I just want a hair cut not a cup of coffee and tell you my thoughts. I have a business to run and want to get back to work.
ReplyDelete12:15 nailed it. No further comment needed.
ReplyDeleteTrue, what about the 2 hours of free parking near the library?
ReplyDeleteI have just one question.
ReplyDeleteWill Eric cut women's hair? My hair is short and I like to keep it that way but my usual hairdresser charges me $28.00 for a shampoo and haircut. I tried to cut the cost by going there with my hair still damp from a fresh shampoo but the cost was still over $20.00. Just inquiring about a cut, not a perm, coloring or nothing fancy, but if Eric can layer/shape and cut bangs on an already short hairstyle, I'll be a loyal customer!
2:30, so because Eric is a friendly and personable guy, you arent going to have him cut your hair anymore?
ReplyDeleteI doubt he would even want you anyway.
Some people.
It takes me 10 minutes to get my haircut, the only time I have to wait is if other people happen to be there. patience.
I got a hair cut today at Eric's and it is now $15.00 for a hair cut.
ReplyDeleteI like parking in the 2 hr free lot.By the time I reach Erics shop my hair has blown all over the place, giving him more of a challenge.Besides,no one should have their hair perfectly in place when they go into a barber shop. That way they do a better job.Try it some day.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know he was back! I will gladly pay whatever he charges to have him cut my hair. I have not had a good haircut since he has been out. I will be there this week!!
