Let's make a bet who will become the hero at the 11th hour on the Budget. We can go all the way back to Barrie Tilghman, it's amazing how things are so similar with Jim Ireton as well. It's all about DRAMA, in case you had forgotten.
So when Mike Dunn would save the day, then Gary Comegys, all in the 11th hour of a Mayoral Veto threat, who do you think will be next?

My bet would be, expect more rescues to come. Tilghman and Ireton LIVE for a crisis so who do you think will be the next hero?

ReplyDeleteI don't know if there is going to be a rescue or not. Ireton seems hell bent on destroying Salisbury if he can't raise taxes.
ReplyDeleteBerlin cut their tax rate by 5 cents and gave employees a $500 bonus because of what they have stashed away in surplus for the last 3 years.

ReplyDeleteIreton had his meltdown over the council's decision on the fireworks in the paper.
Today Dunn has an editorial in the paper respecting the council's decision and acting, well, mayoral.
If I lived in the city, I'd vote for Dunn over Ireton, but now that Joe is in the race, I wouldn't have to make that awful choice.
What a circus.
9:19, whether you like it or not, much of the garbage this city is dealing with is a hangover from the Tilghman administration and The Dream Team.

ReplyDeleteDunn swoops in, using his expert knowledge of Salisbury's fiscal and political processes. The day saved, he realizes that Salisbury needs quality leadership that only he can provide, and he decides to run for mayor with the support of Shanie Shields, Laura Mitchell, SAPOA, and anybody else he gave city money to.
