Who Is This Man?

This painted portrait was discovered in the Poplar Hill Mansion. It is 3 feet high and 2 feet wide with an ornate glded frame. If anyone can tell me who it is, I would greatly appreciate it. It is a mystery to be solved. Thank you. George

  4. Ok, folks, you've had your fun.

George, is the portrait signed? Any clues from some appraiser as to its time period? That might help narrow down who it could be.
